02The standard

New leather that looks like it was always there.

Back to Factory means nobody can tell your interior was ever re-trimmed. These are the four things we get right on every job, and what to check with any shop before you book.

    Leather matched by catalog

    It starts with the leather. We choose it from leather makers' catalogs and pick the closest match to your car: the same shade, grain and thickness, so every new part sits next to the rest of your interior as if it came with the car.

    Factory stitch, to the millimetre

    The stitching is the first thing the eye catches, and the first thing that gives away a cheap re-trim. We copy your car's own stitch: its length, the gap between the rows, the thread and even the slight slant of every stitch. The new seams sit next to the factory ones, and nobody can tell which is which. Your car looks untouched. Just new.

    Airbag safety

    Dashboards, seats and steering wheels hide airbags behind the leather. We cut the new leather from the inside along the airbag line, the way the factory does, so the airbag opens through it exactly as designed. From the outside you see nothing, and you drive knowing it works.

    What to checkAlways ask how a shop handles the airbag line. Leather glued over it without this step can stop the airbag from opening properly.

    The same feel under your hand

    Press a cheap re-trim and you feel it at once: hard as plastic, or soft and spongy. Under factory leather sits a springy padding that keeps its shape for years. We keep yours or lay the same material again, so every part feels exactly as it did the day you bought the car. Not too soft, not too hard. Just right.

03The numbers

Measured, not guessed.

Every carmaker stitches its own way. Before we cut a single piece, we measure the seams on the car: the stitch length and the gap between the two rows. These are the numbers we work to.

You can bring the car to our shop, or we can come to you for a paid on-site visit. The visit fee is quoted in your estimate.

    A few photos, your name and phone, and a word about the job. It takes two minutes.

    Within 1 hour (business hours), our manager confirms the details and sends your price.

    Leather first, then your date

    Leather in our stock? Pick your date right away. If we order it for you, it usually takes 1 to 1.5 weeks. You keep driving the car, and as soon as it arrives we text you a link to pick your day.

  4. 04

    Pick up on time

    The car is with us only for the work days, and it is ready on the date in writing, or you receive a discount.

Most parts of an interior travel well. Dealers and owners send us dashboards, headliners, door panels, steering wheels and seats from other states.

No airbag in the box

The passenger airbag in a dashboard holds an explosive charge, and carriers class it as hazardous material. Have a technician take the airbag out before you pack the dashboard, and keep it at your shop. We re-trim around the airbag opening, so it goes back in exactly as before. The same goes for steering wheels and seats with airbags.

07Questions

Asked before every job

Short answers to the questions we hear most.

Is this only for old or worn interiors?

No. We re-trim new cars and old ones. Keep the factory look, or change the color, stitch, or pattern.

Will the new leather match the rest of my interior?

That is the whole job. We match shade, grain, thread, and stitch to your exact car, and we check every job against the factory result.

How long will you have my car?

Dashboard: 2 business days. Seats: 2 to 3 business days per seat. Steering wheel: 1 business day. Headliner: 1 to 2 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday, and the day you drop off the car does not count. If your leather is in our stock, you get your dates right away. If we order it, it usually takes 1 to 1.5 weeks, the car stays with you meanwhile, and we put your exact drop-off and pickup dates in writing as soon as it arrives.

What if you miss the pickup date?

You get 5% off the labor cost for each business day of delay, up to 20%.

Why don't you give me a date right away?

Because we only give dates we can keep. Most leather is ordered for your car, and it usually arrives in 1 to 1.5 weeks. Now and then a shipment is held up, for example at customs, and that is outside our control. So your exact date comes when the leather is in our shop, and from then on the on-time guarantee covers it. If the leather you choose is in stock, you get your date right away.

What does it cost?

Popular jobs have fixed starting prices on their pages, and the configurators show your total as you build. For everything else, send photos and our manager sends your final price within 1 hour during business hours. That price does not change without your OK.

Do I have to bring the car to you?

You can bring the car to our shop, or we can come to you for a paid on-site visit. The visit fee is quoted in your estimate, and it is credited if you approve the work.

Do you also do furniture?

No. We work on cars only: dashboards, seats, steering wheels, headliners, door panels and everything else inside a car.

Do you work outside Florida?

Yes. Most parts of an interior can travel: a dashboard, a headliner, door panels, a steering wheel or seats. Have them taken out, with any airbag removed and kept at your shop (an airbag holds an explosive charge and must never go in a parcel), and ship them to us from anywhere in the US, or ask us to arrange the shipping. We re-trim them and send them back. Shipping is quoted in your estimate, and the working days start the business day after your parts arrive.

Do you work with dealers and shops?

Yes. We re-trim dashboards and other interior parts for dealerships and other shops, one at a time or on a regular schedule, in the factory look. See how we work with dealers.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, in writing. How long depends on the part, because the sun is the hardest test for leather: 3 years on seats, door inserts and steering wheels, 1 year on dashboards, which sit under the windshield. The term for your job is written in your estimate.
